“This is not for me.”
I whispered that to myself one day as I sat at my desk and looked around my drab cubicle. While working on yet another graphic design project that left me completely uninspired, I knew in my gut that the days of me working for someone else were numbered.
I instantly started to think of a plan that would help me get those numbered days down to the single digits. I wanted to create a workable strategy that would help me escape the drudgery of my life as a cubicle dweller – fast.
How was I going to do that? I had no clue.
Then, just like it happens in the movies, the answer came to me. I’d take a chance doing what I’ve always done…and that’s make stuff.
Hey, my name is Arsha Jones and I am a creative.
Ever since I was a child, creating something – anything – with my own two hands or from this vivid imagination I was born with, has driven everything I’ve done. I studied art in college and from there began a nearly twenty-year career as a web designer.
To break free from the desk job ball-and-chain, I used my eye for design and knack for product development to create multiple six-figure businesses (see them here and here).
I went all in and figured it out on my own. Mistakes were made. Tears were shed. Stress was real. But I did it.
In the pursuit of freedom from the humdrum of my day job, I found my purpose.
Maybe you can relate.
